Blackpoint Cyber is proud to announce that two of its leaders have been named to the 2024 CRN Channel Chiefs list. CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, publishes the annual list to recognize the IT vendor and distribution executives who are driving strategy and setting the channel agenda for their companies.
CRN named MacKenzie Brown, Blackpoint’s VP of Security, and Justin Weller, Director of Product Marketing, as Channel Chiefs, recognizing them as top leaders in the IT channel ecosystem who work tirelessly to ensure mutual success with their partners and customers.
Brown Brings Security Expertise to the Channel
Brown, whose foray into the channel began last year with her role at Blackpoint after tenures at Microsoft and Optiv, has already emerged as a thought leader in the MSP community. As host of an MSP-focused podcast, Return of the Mac, and as a frequent speaker at channel events, Brown evangelizes the importance of cybersecurity for service providers and their clients.

As a woman, an executive, and as a defender, I am committed to ensuring the complex world of cybersecurity is more inclusively and purposefully integrated into the IT service provider realm, the backbone of critical infrastructure, where it is greatly needed.”
Weller Connects to MSPs With Insider Knowledge
Weller has been part of the channel community for over a decade, with previous roles including at Datto, working for an IT service provider, and owning an MSP. His background enables him to better relate to service providers on their challenges, educating them on the benefits of maturing their cybersecurity posture through frequent webinars and speaking engagements.
“I am humbled to be named a Channel Chief, and have been blessed to be part of the amazing MSP community,” Weller said. “Having worked in an MSP, I loved the daily challenge of helping enable people in their work and businesses. Now at a solution provider, I get to do the same, with a focus on cybersecurity, one of the most critical pieces businesses need to get right.”
