Prior to Adelphi, Mr. Fitzsimmons was CEO of Iridian Technologies, the leading biometric (iris recognition) start-up backed by GE Capital and Perseus, LLC. He went on to lead strategy for North America and then D&B’s efforts in new market and product development, introducing D&B’s first decision support and data integration products, and leading their initial Internet marketing and e-commerce efforts. Later, as the Senior VP of Global Marketing, Mr. Fitzsimmons guided D&B’s global product and segment strategies and partnerships with SAP, Oracle, and Siebel. He also led efforts to market the D-U-N-S number as a business identifier – including its adoption by the U.S. government – and the creation of the UN/SPSC commodity code.

Earlier in his career Mr. Fitzsimmons worked in financial management at Hess Oil and W.R. Grace.

Mr. Fitzsimmons currently serves on the boards of Orbis Operations, a national security services firm, and Cybis, a cybersecurity consulting firm focused on the private sector.
